goddam America Award

My "goddam America Award" for today is bestowed on Glenn Beck for his planned rally on Saturday, the anniversary of MLK's "Dream" speech. Beck asserts there's nothing political about the rally, though both he and Sarah Palin will be there. Mr. Beck had this to say: "This is going to be an iconic event...This is going to be a moment that you'll never be able to paint people as haters, racists, none of it. This is a moment, quite honestly, that I think we reclaim the civil rights movement. It has been so distorted and so turned upside down. It is an abomination." Oh my. This from the guy who a couple of days ago told us it was only a "coincidence" that his rally is planned for this anniversary. Yeah, right.
